Harting's Han-Modular® series of Push-In modules has officially passed UL 2237 PVVA2 certification. This means that prefabricated wiring harnesses constructed using these modules can directly meet the UL 508A industrial control cabinet compliance requirements for connectors, without additional testing.
UL 508A is the core standard for safety in North American industrial control cabinets. As a leading global manufacturer of industrial connectors, Harting has long been deeply involved in the certification and cooperation of the UL standards system, providing reliable and compliant connection solutions for lithium battery and new energy equipment going global.

Given that Harting has obtained US UL 2237 PVVA2 E318390 certification and Canadian CSA-C22.2 No 182.3 certification, in addition to the existing printed content, the following UL marks will be additionally marked on the components and packaging labels.
Why is UL certification crucial for product export?
For lithium battery equipment exported to North America, UL 508A cabinet certification is a mandatory requirement for customer bidding and on-site acceptance. UL 508A clearly specifies that connectors used inside the cabinet must meet UL 2237 testing requirements; ordinary UL 1977 connectors are not suitable for circuits with short-circuit current rating (SCCR) requirements. If electrical cabinet manufacturers use connectors that are not UL 2237 certified, they will have to bear the complex and costly costs of harmonized testing, and may even face the risk of failing audits.
Harting is the industry's first connector manufacturer to complete and obtain UL 2237 PVVA2 category testing, with a maximum SCCR (Short Circuit Current Rating) of 65kA, providing ample short circuit protection margin for electrical cabinet systems. This certification of the Han-Modular® series further expands its compliant product portfolio, providing customers with more choices and the compliance benefits of UL certification.
When selecting connectors, it is essential to confirm three key technical parameters:
* Operating Current: The connector's current carrying capacity must match the protection device, and temperature derating should be considered.
* Operating Voltage: The connector's rated voltage ≥ the system voltage.
* Short Circuit Current Rating: Ensure that the connector's short circuit current rating is not less than the system short circuit current.
Harting will continue to expand its UL-certified product line, covering more module sizes, current ratings, and pre-assembled cable assemblies. For manufacturers of lithium batteries, energy storage, and automation equipment, choosing Harting UL certified connectors means shorter project certification cycles, lower compliance risks, and more reliable international competitiveness.
