    Application

    The DIN rail is the mechanical S7-300 rack and is essential for assembly of the PLC.

    All S7-300 modules are screwed directly onto this rail.

    The DIN rail allows the SIMATIC S7-300 to be used even under challenging mechanical conditions, for example in shipbuilding.

    Design

    The DIN rail consists of the metal rail, which has holes for the fixing screws. It is screwed to a wall with these screws.

    The DIN rail is available in five different lengths:

    • 160 mm
    • 482 mm
    • 530 mm
    • 830 mm
    • 2 000 mm (no holes)

    The 2000 mm DIN rails can be shortened as needed to allow structures with special lengths.
